CCcam working with VDR on linux.
I have tried out the hack on the other page to get VDR and CCcam playing together and have to say it appears to work!!!

THE PROBLEM:

There is no way to get keys in and out of a budget SAT pci card.

THE SOLUTION:

Very unelegant..

Download this:

It is a quick hack to allow VDR to write it's requests for keys to /tmp/pmt.tmp, which CCcam can pickup.

There is a library which you have to compile called ca.so which you LDPRELOAD before CCcam.

You need to patch VDR to allow it to write to /tmp/pmt.tmp

You also need to patch vdr-sc to allow something called newcamdhack as a cardclient option.

THE WAY IT WORKS:

Once patched, VDR writes the key requested to /tmp/pmt.tmp

CCcam reads this, goes off and searches for the key and returns it to vdr-sc's new newcamdhack protocol using ca.so.

If anyone needs a hand, ask... However, you should really already have VDR and VDR-SC working.
